In a general manner, a concrete pump is most likely to adopt diesel or electric engine to drive its pumping system. The pumping system chiefly contains a concrete hopper, mixing system, a distribution valve, two concrete cylinders, a water cylinder and two oil cylinders. Its basic operation principles are explained as the following introductions.
To understand its working principle, we need to know that oil cylinders are connected with concrete cylinders by the water tank. There is a piston tube that realizes pressure’s transmission between oil cylinder and concrete cylinder inside each concrete cylinder. When hydraulic oil gets into one oil cylinder, the corresponding piston tube will go backward under hydraulic pressure. At the same time, the other piston tube will go forward and concrete will be inhaled into the concrete cylinder. As we can imagine, the pressure is lower than that of another concrete cylinder.
Therefore concrete inside it will be pressed out into pumping pipes. Similarly, pressure inside this concrete cylinder will become lower than that of another one so concrete pumping procedure will be carried out in another cylinder. Circularly these two cylinders alternately carry out concrete inhaling and pumping process so that the machine can constantly pump concrete to the required construction sites. To increase its reliability, a concrete pump needs to be equipped with high qualified components like S distribution valve, independent cooling system, wearable glass-like plates and cutting loops.
